Japan's counterproductive insularity

Joseph Caron, a former Canadian Ambassador to Japan, wrote an excellent article in the Japan Times entitled "Conservatives’ insular mindset doesn’t fit today’s global reality".

In short, while Japan might be trying an economic comeback, its political relations with its neighbors are going backwards.
